JDZ Solar and Electrical - COVID 19 Policy

Please take the time to open and read through the below COVID-19 Coronavirus information current as of the 23rd of March 2020.

JDZ Solar’s Owners have met to plan for the unfolding situation regarding COVID-19, and to determine next steps, specifically with regard to the well-being of our workforce whilst delivering on our commitments to customers.  

We would like to note that at this stage, we are not experiencing any customer-facing disruption to our business, however we continue to monitor the situation carefully in accordance with advice on the Australian Government – Department of Health Website.

  

JDZ Solar & Electricals COVID 19 Plan

The Supply of Electricity is critical to the safe and healthy operation of Homes and Businesses across Australia.

For Homes No Power means - No Light, Refrigeration, Heating etc

Power is also critical for Water Treatment and Sewage Processing and the operation of Critical Infrastructure like hospitals and Medical Centres.

The Aim of this Policy is to Provide Practical Guidelines for Staff to follow when providing services:

1.  Good Hygiene Practices – When dealing with the public we will:

a. Practice “Social Distancing” as detailed by the Australian Government – See Link Here

b. Keep 1.5M between staff and Customers

c. Wash Hand before and after every Customer Job with Alcohol based Sanitiser

d.Failure to practise Good Hygiene will result in Disciplinary Action.

 

2. Elimination or Substitution of Physical Contact – For Meetings and Quoting can these activities be done on the Phone, Skype or with online tools.

 

3.  For work inside customers premises – can the work be planned in such a way to minimised contact, can the job:

a. Be done out of hours for Businesses

b. Can people be moved to other areas in the home or building

c. Can windows be opened to provide additional ventilation

d. Is additional cleaning required in the immediate work area

4. In the event that a staff member has concerns or is suspected of having Covid 19, JDZ Solar will strictly follow the advice on the Australian Government – Department of Health Website or specific advice provided by the Staff Members Doctor or Hospital. All Quarantines will be strictly enforced.

 

These new measures will present challenges, but we want to make sure our Customers and Staff are as safe as possible and that we can continue to provide employment to our team through this challenging period.
